My stay at Paradise Beach Resort & Diving School was a mix of good and not-so-great experiences. I loved the close proximity to the beach, which offered a beautiful view and relaxation spots. However, I did find the resort to be a bit tired and in need of some updates. The food offered was decent but could use more variety. Overall, it had its charms, especially being right by the water, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
I enjoyed my room, which was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea, but it was interconnecting with the next room, so I could hear everything. The room needed some attention and a fresh coat of paint.
Service
8.0
The staff were very friendly and helpful, although I sometimes had to ask twice for things. I think it's a bit of a language issue, but their willingness to assist was clear.
Location
7.0
The location is ideal for beach lovers, right at the beachfront, making it easy to snorkel and take in the views. However, it is a bit far from the main tourist areas of Mirissa, which was a slight inconvenience.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were decent, with some excellent dishes like the authentic fish curry at breakfast. However, there weren't many choices available, and the buffet was often lacking in variety.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were satisfactory, with a good-sized pool and beach chairs available, but I noticed some cleanliness issues in the pool area that could be improved.

I had a mixed experience at Paradise Beach Resort & Diving School. The location is absolutely stunning, right on a lovely private beach which is ideal for swimming and snorkeling. However, the hotel itself feels a bit worn out, with dated rooms and a dining experience that left much to be desired. Overall, it’s a great spot for a short getaway, but there’s room for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and clean, but it definitely showed signs of wear and tear. The bathroom could really use a makeover and I felt the decor was rather old-fashioned.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, but seemed to struggle with communication at times. I had to ask for things more than once, which may be a language barrier.
Location
8.0
The resort’s location is fantastic—nestled right on the beach with beautiful views and close to local bars and restaurants. It's perfect for those wanting a beach holiday.
Dining
5.0
I found the dining experience lacking; the food was not great and fell short of expectations. It was served in a large dining room that didn’t feel inviting. I recommend trying the local beach restaurants instead.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has potential but is very much in need of maintenance. The pool area especially seemed neglected with broken ladder rungs, and the overall vibe felt like a construction site.

6.4/10

I spent two nights at Paradise Beach Resort & Diving School, and while the beachfront location was fantastic, the overall experience left much to be desired. The service was generally lacking, especially at the reception, which affected my stay. The food offered was average at best, but on the brighter side, the room had good amenities and was spacious. Overall, it felt like there was a great resort potential that just wasn't realized during my visit.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and came with a fridge and a TV, but it was in dire need of maintenance and a fresh coat of paint.
Service
5.0
The reception team was unprofessional and unfriendly; I often had to wait or ask multiple times for assistance.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located right on the beach, but it's a bit far from the center of Mirissa, meaning a tuk-tuk is necessary to get to restaurants and shopping.
Dining
5.0
Dining was quite basic and lacked variety, resembling more of a buffet setup with little care in food preparation.
Facilities
6.0
The large pool was a nice feature, but the overall cleanliness and maintenance, especially in common areas, was below par.

My stay at Paradise Beach Resort was a mix of highs and lows. The location is fantastic, being right on the beach and a great spot for swimming with turtles. However, the rooms are basic and in need of an update. The service varied, with some staff being friendly while others were not very helpful.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are quite basic and need updates, and while I did enjoy the spacious balconies with ocean views, the cleanliness could be improved. I also faced issues with missing amenities like toiletries.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss; while some staff were friendly and professional, I encountered unhelpful receptionists who didn't assist when I needed to check out early.
Location
8.0
The resort's beachfront location is stunning, ideal for those wanting a quieter experience away from the hustle and bustle of Mirissa. However, it is quite far from main tourist attractions.
Dining
7.0
The food was decent, with a variety of dishes, but I found the menu could use some more Sri Lankan options. Breakfast was good, especially the authentic fish curry.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities could definitely use some maintenance, especially the pool, which had broken ladders and wasn't very clean. However, I appreciated the large swimming area by the beach.

I had high hopes for Paradise Beach Resort & Diving School, especially because of its prime beach location, but I was let down. While the view from the balcony was amazing, the ongoing construction made it hard to relax. The staff could be more welcoming, and the cleanliness left something to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
My room was spacious but not as clean as I'd hoped. I found dirty towels and the bathroom was dingy. On top of that, the lack of maintenance was evident, with issues like poor WiFi and uncomfortable beds. I wasn't impressed with the overall hygiene either.
Service
5.0
The reception staff didn't seem very helpful or friendly during my arrival. When I needed assistance, I often found no one available, which was frustrating. It felt like the management lacked proper oversight.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location was a double-edged sword. While it was close to the beach, the surrounding area felt isolated, and the small beach was not well-maintained. The noise from nearby boats was also a major downside.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was decent, and I enjoyed the mix of Western and Sri Lankan options, although it got monotonous after a few days. I wished there were more varied menu options available during my stay.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were quite basic and in need of upgrades. The pool area lacked charm, and the services like housekeeping were inconsistent. I did appreciate the large space I had, but it didn't feel like a resort experience.
